MUSC 109 Music Fundamentals This lab facilitates students to be successful in Foundations in Music I and II. Class activities are based on intense drill in note recognition, work with basic rhythms, and preliminary development of aural skills, with special attention to note replication.Students develop a sense of self-discipline required for the study of music, a sense of relative pitch, a verbal musical literacy, and an ability to listen actively.
